We had a great time with Captain James on the Big Manistee. He came prepared with a variety of lures and bait to give us the best chance at landing steelhead. He was personable, patient, and easy to talk to, always explaining what we were doing and why. As an experienced angler, I appreciated the detail, and my wife, who’s newer to fishing, felt comfortable and involved the whole time. Overall, it was a really enjoyable trip for both of us.

Captain James was incredibly determined to get my son and me on some fish. He knew exactly where to find them, and there were plenty around. While the fish were a bit picky that day, we still managed to catch some small brown trout and hooked into four steelhead, successfully reeling in one of them. We were the only ones in the area to get fish on the line that day! James was not only knowledgeable but also gave us great insights into fishing for Steelhead. We'll definitely be booking another trip soon. Thanks, Captain James, for an awesome time!
